| Confederation
of United Grand Lodges of India
At
a council of the four Grand Masters of the four Grand Lodges,
namely, Grand Lodge of Upper India, Grand
Lodge of South India, Grand Lodge of Western India and
Grand Lodge of Eastern India, held on 5th August 2001 at Lucknow,
it was resolved that these four sovereign & independent
Grand Lodges in India should act in unison on issues and matters
concerning Freemasonry within and outside India and to form
a Confederation of Grand Lodges to be known as the “United
Grand Lodges of India”. |

M.W.Bro. N.R.Doraiswami, founder Grand Master
of the Grand
Lodge of South India, was appointed Chairman and V.W.Bro.
Philip R. J. Fowler was appointed Secretary of the Council
of United Grand Lodges of India having its headquarters in
Coimbatore.

Lors d’un Conseil
de Grands Maîtres des quatre Grandes Loges, c’est
à dire, La Grande Loge de l’Inde du Nord, La
Grande Loge de l’Inde du Sud, La Grande Loge de l’Inde
de l’Ouest et La Grande Loge de l’Inde de l’Est,
tenu le 5 Août 2001 à Lucknow, il a été
adopté que ces quatre Grandes Loges indépendantes
et souveraines en Inde agiront en unison dans les affaires
conçernant la Franc-Maçonnerie en Inde et en
dehors de l’Inde et formeront une confédération
de Grandes Loges qui serait connue sous le titre distinctif
:- ‘Grandes Loges Unies de l’Inde’.

de la Grande Lodge de l’Inde du Sud, a été
nommé Président et T.C. Frère Philip
R. J. Fowler a été nommé Secrétaire
du Conseil de Grandes Loges Unies de l’Inde. Le siège
social est à Coimbatore. |
